![]() The reviews are right when they say you have to change the graphics settings to medium. This game is great! I have a 13" MBP i7 2.73 processor with just the standard intel graphics card 256MB. Same with a graphics chip/card that is properly cooled. On my brother's 13" MBP, though, with Intel HD Graphics 3000 (integrated graphics on the CPU), there were no freezes. Therefore I can conclude that the reason why the freezes occur is because the discrete GPU (discrete = separate chip, such as all ATi and nVIDIA chips) is overheating!! This most likely will occur on mobile machines, such as MacBooks (all types) and iMacs. When I swapped out that card with a Geforce GTS 250 that had active cooling (fans), the freezes went away. There is a reason why the game freezes: on my desktop I was using a GeForce 9600 GT that used passive cooling (passive cooling = no fans), and I also got lockups and freezes. You have to find out how the gameplay works I suggest to read the manual (there's an option to read it upon opening the app). And I feel that point is worth emphasizing this is not a game you can simply download and play out of the box. This came is absolutely amazing!!! Graphics are stunning, and gameplay is very intrigueing, albeit with a large learning curve. If X3 Terran Conflict suits you, get the 7.04 GB app for 3.2.4 on PC. I resolved the issue, I think it was the usual "compatibility mode+admin mode" issue, don't know which one specifically. What have you attempted so far to correct the issue? Sorry for bumping, and for the scarce details. That being said, those of us that love X3 are pretty attentive to new user issues and it's unusual to get no reply on an X3 post. Xixas: GOG is more laid back than a lot of gaming sites, and the X series has been around long enough that this isn't really a "bump" type of forum. What have you attempted so far to correct the issue? "I didnt find the answer on the internet" is vague in and of itself. If the problem you're encountering is common, someone here would have replied already. I haven't run Windows since the early days of XP, so, unfortunately, I can't offer any system-specific help here, but I don't want you to think you're being ignored either ) so a key press is no longer requested but a click is still required? My guess would be that your post might require some more detailed information. ![]() Your note about "win+g" sounds endemic of a system-specific issue, but you say you've corrected that. I think all of us can attest to there being a one or two second lag when docking, but it usually runs itself out without a required click action. Having said that, your post may be a little vague (or too system-specific). Hrafnagudh: No one?
